Initially billed as a striker, Ben achieved a record of a goal every other game during his first season with Aylesbury before making a seamless transition from bustling centre forward to tireless midfielder, and offered options right across the pitch as he gave the same dedication whenever and wherever called upon.
Already a popular figure on and off the pitch, he wrote himself into club folklore in 2013 with a superb strike in the Premier Division Cup final to level a match which had looked to be edging away from United before the Ducks went on to lift the trophy.
In his earlier career he was a renowned marksman in the United Counties League for the likes of Wootton Blue Cross and Desborough Town, before joining Cogenhoe from where manager Tony Joyce eventually concluded a long chase for his signature.
The 2014/15 season saw Ben take a step back from football due to family commitments, and he dual registered with Spartan South Midlands League side Wolverton Town where he ended the campaign as their top scorer with 14 goals.
Moved on to Wellingborough Town in summer 2015.
