Max is the son of all-time Aylesbury United record appearances/goalscorer Cliff Hercules.
After a short spell at a higher level with Kings Langley in 2019, and then Berkhamsted, he returned to the Ducks in January 2020 before the lure of title-chasing Premier Division side Banbury United proved too much to refuse as Max made the switch to the Purtains in February 2022.
